There is something comforting about a return to special experiences if only to try and recapture the original memory. One game that I can't do that with is Overwatch, the game-changing FPS/MOBA from Blizzard. Seven years after its release on May 24, 2016, you can't even play the original.Overwatch 1 was not free, it was full priced for 60 Dollars / Euros.After October 2, Overwatch 1 will be permanently replaced by its free-to-play sequel. With Overwatch 2's October 4 release drawing closer, Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 1 will conclude the same week as its sequel launches. Per Eurogamer, Blizzard's original hero shooter will end service for good on October 2.
But fundamentally, Overwatch is moving to a free-to-play model. A new battle pass and a new unlockable hero each season like Apex Legends. Existing players/Overwatch 1 owners should have access to all the original Overwatch heroes when they start Overwatch 2.

How much will PvE cost : Highlights. The controversial decision to put Overwatch 2's PvE story missions behind a $15 paywall has upset some fans who expected them to be included for free.
