Whether your kid plays as a mage, rouge or warrior, they will be effectively forced to kill game characters both monster and man- yet this is a staple of most video games.
Does Skyrim count as an RPG : Skyrim is just as much an RPG as any of the other elder scrolls games. Just because it chose to focus more on adventure and action doesn't make it any less of an RPG.
