When sending a letter you have several options. Most of the time, you will do with either an ordinary mail (obyčejný dopis) or a registered mail (doporučený dopis). As the name suggests, ordinary letters do not require anything else than a stamp for CZK 19 (economy posting) or CZK 26 (priority posting).
How long does a 2nd class post take : Second class letters are delivered 2 days after they're dispatched. Royal Mail delivers from Monday to Saturday, excluding bank holidays. Letters to Europe are delivered 3 to 5 days after they're dispatched. Letters sent anywhere else in the world take 5 to 7 days to arrive.

A large envelope, known to the postal service as a large letter, is a maximum size of 353mm by 250mm by 25mm. Can I still use old 1st class stamps
Stamps are changing
From 31 July, 2023, you won't be able to use stamps which don't have a barcode on. But no need to panic. You can use non-barcoded stamps until 31 July 2023. Royal Mail has also introduced the Stamp Swap Out Scheme so you can swap all your non-barcoded stamps for the new barcoded ones.
